The City of Dublin has been named a Runner Friendly Community by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), joining Dayton and Toledo as one of only three cities in Ohio to receive this designation. Dublin was recognized for its outstanding running infrastructure, local business support, and government collaboration.
This designation highlights Dublin's commitment to promoting active lifestyles. The City partnered with the Columbus Running Company (CRC) to submit its application, featuring support from local runners and officials. CRC, a central Ohio-based running store and race organizer, plays a key role in fostering the city's running culture.
What makes Dublin runner friendly? The city offers extensive shared-use paths, a strong community of running events and clubs, and ongoing enhancements to the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Safety is a top priority, with the Dublin Police Department ensuring secure paths for runners, walkers, and cyclists.
