A community's health and well-being depends on the ability of leaders to readily work together, collaborating to seize opportunities, address challenges, and develop new solutions. Leadership Dublin's role is to strengthen and broaden this base of leadership. We help leaders see beyond their own spheres to the bigger picture of the community, and inspire them to become more effectively involved as community leaders. Since its founding in 1995 with the mission to prepare leaders for effective community involvement, Leadership Dublin has developed over 400 graduates. A look at the board and executive leadership of the Dublin area's leading community groups reveals a critical mass of Leadership Dublin graduates who continue to build and improve our community's well-being. Leadership Dublin offers two programs: the Executive and the iCare... iServe... iLead Youth Program. While designed for two vastly different audiences, both programs focus on developing and identifying leadership skills while emerging participants in Dublin's diverse civic community. Each program's curriculum culminates with a class community project which in the past has benefited organizations such as: the American Red Cross, the Bike Ambassador Program, the Farmers' Market, Dublin Special Olympics, Welcome Warehouse, and the Dublin Food Pantry just to name a few. The nine-week Youth Program, iCare... iServe... iLead is offered in the fall and spring. While, the Executive Program offers seasoned volunteers an intense eight-month experience that is offered annually.
