The May Sales Connection meeting format will look a little different this month. In the spirit of networking and the opportunity to meet other busy sales professionals, we will use a heavy dose of Zoom break-out rooms to practice answering the question, What do you do?
Julie Biddle of FitSimply Marketing Solutions, recently sent out an email that sums up the challenges that occur when answering this question.
The question, ?What do you do?? gets asked of us all the time but how we respond may be hurting your business and here?s why.
If you simply respond with title, place, etc. it could lead to the following:
? It's not memorable
? It doesn't pique the interests for those you are talking to
? It's the same thing everyone else says so are people really listening. Are you oatmeal? You must attend to find out what we mean by this
? It doesn't necessarily lead to interest or additional follow up conversation (can spark meaningless small talk)
