Sara began her career with Syntero in 2011 as an outpatient clinician and has served in various leadership roles prior to becoming CEO in August 2024. Her career spans more than two decades in the non-profit behavioral health sector. As a therapist\, Sara specialized in working with children and adolescents and has clinical expertise in adoption\, attachment and complex trauma. Sara has extensive experience in program development and building community partnerships. As a passionate advocate for mental health\, Sara believes in the power of community engagement and strives to create inclusive environments where all individuals can thrive. Sara earned both a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies from the University of Michigan\, Ann Arbor. Sara enjoys traveling and has lived abroad in both Chile and Spain.
