Women In Business Luncheon: Your Best Life-Saying No to Obligations and Yes to Aspirations

You are invited to join the Chamber for lunch on May 17, 2023, at The Country Club at Muirfield Village, 8715 Muirfield Dr., Dublin.

Our featured speaker is Heather Brod, an executive coach, consultant, facilitator and speaker who works primarily with professional women. Heather will explore "Your Best Life: Saying No to Obligations and Yes to Aspirations".  Women often feel overwhelmed with obligations and responsibilities, leaving little time or energy to pursue our aspirations and dreams. This presentation will explore the unique challenges that women face in prioritizing aspirations over obligations, including societal expectations and gender roles. 

Heather invites you to delve into the common barriers that prevent women from pursuing their aspirations, such as imposter syndrome, lack of support and putting the needs of others before their own. From there, she will examine practical strategies and tools for saying yes to aspirations and no to obligations, such as setting clear goals and priorities, learning to say “no,” and seeking support from others. 

Participants will leave with a new perspective on prioritizing aspirations and will be equipped with practical tools to help them live their best life, both personally and professionally. 

Heather believes that women face pressure to conform and play it safe, which minimizes their potential, and that until the problem of systemic inequity is fixed, women need support navigating organizational systems and advancing their careers in ways that are uniquely authentic and fulfilling. She promotes personal growth and transformation, encouraging women to use their voices, be daring and pursue their aspirations.
