Jeff Jacobs, Chief Information Officer
Jeff was named Chief Information Officer in May 2014. He leads OCLC’s global technology team in the development of systems and services member libraries need in today’s rich information environment. As CIO, Jeff is responsible for computer operations, software delivery, quality assurance, event monitoring and the first level of customer support for users around the world. Jeff came to OCLC from JPMorgan Chase, where he served as Chief Technology Officer for the digital consumer businesses. There he oversaw a large global technology team responsible for infrastructure, development, quality and operations supporting multiple businesses that serve Chase’s more than 35 million online customers. His innovation team delivered the company’s first responsive and adaptive site, further enhancing the customer experience. Prior to his experience at JPMorgan Chase, Jeff held various technology leadership positions with WellPoint, Intellitech, Exact Software, Cardinal Health and the Kroger Company. Jeff has been active with TechColumbus entrepreneurial programs and serves on the advisory board of Capstone Innovations.
Drew Bordas, Vice President, Management and Customer Operations
Drew was named Vice President of Management and Customer Operations in June 2014. He is responsible for OCLC's Customer Support, Implementation, and Training functions, as well as Project and Portfolio Operations. Drew is leading an effort to sharpen OCLC’s focus on member support by joining customer-facing teams with strong process and consulting skills. He also heads a team responsible for global business planning, forecasting and monitoring across the cooperative. With this new approach, OCLC aims to increase member responsiveness and coordination. Drew came to OCLC from c3/consulting, a Nashville, Tennessee, management consulting firm. While at c3, he led a team of consultants in a range of planning and operational projects serving retail, publishing, nonprofit, manufacturing, healthcare and other business segments. Prior to his work at c3/consulting, he was Vice President of Business Operations at Ingram Content Group, which provides a broad range of physical and digital services to the book industry. Drew received a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.
Tammi Spayde, Vice President, Marketing, Human Resources, Facilities
Tammi is a Corporate Vice President with responsibility for Marketing, Human Resources and Facilities. Prior to joining OCLC in 2006, she was Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development for Dominion Homes and from 1998 to 2002 she served as Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development for Inoveris (formerly Metatec). Tammi has also held various administrative management positions at OhioHealth. OCLC is known for its exceptional work environment, wellness initiatives and mission to the world’s libraries. Under Tammi’s leadership, best employer awards including ComputerWorld’s Top 100 list and Business First Best Places to Work have honored OCLC repeatedly. Named as the HR Executive of the Year in 2012, Tammi has served on several work groups and local Boards including the Columbus Speech and Hearing Center. She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from The Ohio State University.
