Senior Star at Dublin Retirement Village Hosts Annual Jazz Under the Stars

Entertaining Evening Supports Alzheimer Association’s The Longest Day Senior Star at Dublin Retirement Village is pleased to host its annual Jazz Under the Stars event in support of the Alzheimer Association’s The Longest Day from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 at 6470 Post Road in Dublin. The community is, once again, invited to this popular fundraising evening featuring gourmet hors d’oeuvres, festive drinks and a display of fabulous silent auction items on the picturesque patio and grounds at Dublin Retirement Village. Entertainment will be provided by the soulful sounds of the Russell Blue Band. “We are thrilled to host this yearly event that creates awareness and support for the Alzheimer’s Association,” said Ron Keller, executive director of Senior Star at Dublin Retirement Village. “We look forward to welcoming families to a special night of fun and entertainment all for a very worthwhile cause.” The Longest Day, held annually on the summer solstice, is an event about love for all those affected by Alzheimer's disease. On the summer solstice, groups across the world are asked to team up with the Alzheimer’s Association and select an activity that will raise funds and awareness for care and support while also advancing research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. With 5.7 million Americans currently living with Alzheimer’s disease and up to 14 million expected to have the disease by 2050, The Longest Day draws importance for the need of ongoing Alzheimer’s funding and research.
