Senior Star at Dublin Retirement Village Hosts Annual Jazz Under the Stars

Entertaining evening supports Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day Senior Star at Dublin Retirement Village is pleased to host its annual Jazz Under the Stars event in support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day. The community is invited to this popular fundraising evening featuring fantastic foods, spirits, wine and beer on the picturesque patio and grounds at Dublin Retirement Village. Also included is a display of fabulous live and silent auction items. Entertainment will be provided by the soulful sounds of the Russell Blue Band. The Longest Day, held annually on the summer solstice, is the day with the most light. This year, on June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. With 5.8 million Americans currently living with Alzheimer’s disease and nearly 14 million expected to have the disease by 2050, The Longest Day draws importance for the need of ongoing Alzheimer’s funding and research. Cost to attend this event is $10 per person, which will be given directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.
