SCRAM! Camp - Reuniting Wild Families

SCRAM! Camp - Reuniting Wild Families

During SCRAM! Camp, our Junior Keepers will be challenged to discover the common causes of human and wildlife conflict.  They will research the issues and design a project to help people solve conflicts humanely and prevent injury or illness to humans and wildlife in our communities. Campers may build reuniting kits for squirrels or raccoons that can be loaned to homeowners.  Some may choose to construct one-way doors that safely and effectively move animals out and not in. Others may design ways to prevent birds from striking windows or plan habitat and landscape designs that deter geese, deer and other wildlife from areas of concern.  Junior Keepers will be handling and caring for our resident wild animals daily as part of their keeper experience and career exploration into animal and veterinary sciences in wildlife or biology fields.
