JASCO Economic Business Seminar: "Investing in Innovation, Research and Development"

Japan-Ameirca Society of Central Ohio partners with the City of Dublin to host its Annual Economic Business Seminar on Tuesday, November 15th. This year's topic is Investing in Innovation, Research and Development. We are pleased to announce that Consul General Wada of Japan in Detroit will be joining us again this year. A reception featuring Akai Hana's Sushi will precede the seminar, and the evening will be concluded with a panel discussion/Q&A featuring distinguished experts in the field, moderated by City of Dublin Economic Development. Japanese simultaneous translation services will be provided.

Keynote: Smart Columbus 
City of Columbus was awarded $50 million in “Smart City Challenge” grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation and Vulcan Inc. to develop Columbus into the nation’s proving ground for intelligent transportation systems. One of the key technological innovations in this project is an automated vehicle. Smart Columbus partners with many companies and organizations including JASCO members AEP, OSU and Honda. The panel will also discuss “the US 33 Smart Mobility Corridor,” a $5.9 million grant awarded to the City of Dublin, the City of Marysville and Union County.
