Dublin Chamber Trip to Italy Informational Meeting

Join us for a meeting at the Dublin Chamber on April 25 at 7 p.m. as we discuss details of a trip to Italy on September 26 – October 6, 2018!
 
This Italian Culinary and Cultural Adventure is estimated to be $3,070 per person without air or $4,400 per person including air, based on double occupancy. We are on a tight deadline and need a commitment of 20 people to make this trip happen. A $700 per person deposit is due by May 1 otherwise our rooms would be released.
 
We will have hotels scheduled for 10 nights which includes Rome, Tuscany, Bologna, Rapallo and Stressa. Please see a sample of the tentative itinerary below:

• Wednesday, Sept. 26 – Arrive in Rome with one day to visit
  • 1-night stay at Hotel Residenza di Ripetta (www.residenzadiripetta.com)
• Thursday, Sept. 27 – Travel to Tuscany and visit La Fratta Farm for lunch
  • 3- night stay at Hotel Montecatini Palace (http://www.montecatinipalace.com/)
• Friday, Sept. 28 – Full day tour of San Gimignano where you will take part in a cooking and wine class at Tenuta Torciano
• Saturday, Sept. 29 – Tour Chianti Region and visit the ancient castle and winery, Castello Vicchiomaggio, for a 4-course lunch and wine-tasting); Drive to Florence following lunch for a 3-hour guided visit
• Sunday, Sept. 30 – Travel to Bologna for 2 nights; Visit Mercato Di Mezzo, the first indoor market of Bologna

• Monday, October 1 - Parmesan cheese factory visit & tasting
• Tuesday, October 2 – Depart Bologna to La Spezia, the gateway to the Cinque Terre, stopping for a visit and tasting at a Parma Ham Factory

• Wednesday, October 3 – Enjoy a boat trip from Rapallo to Portofino and back
• Thursday, October 4 – Travel to Stresa for a boat trip to Isola Pescatori and Isolabella to visit the Palazzo, Art Gallery and Garden before returning to Stresa

• Friday, October 5 – Day trip to Lugano and Lake Maggiore before returning to Stresa
