Lean Six Sigma Methodology in a Health Care Environment

Two Cardinal Health Process Improvement projects will be discussed in this meeting. 

This presentation will review the Lean Six Sigma tools, including 5S, that were used in the healthcare transactional environment to improve and sustain processes.  

Project 1: Learn how the DMAIC methodology and tools were leveraged in designing a pick path for a low unit of measure product in a distribution center.

Project 2: Learn how the DMAIC methodology and tools were leveraged in a 800+ bed hospital operating room pharmacy to reduce error rates in kit/trays and standardize inventory practices to ensure patient safety.
